Betaflight Auto-Tuning with AeroTune7
AeroTune7 brings Betaflight Blackbox analysis and auto-tuning into the browser. It helps you understand your FPV drone’s recorded flight behaviour and work through tuning changes.
What does Betaflight auto-tuning use?
AeroTune7 works from Blackbox flight logs. Those recordings contain signals such as gyro movement, pilot setpoint, motor output and throttle. Looking at the recorded response helps relate tuning decisions to the aircraft you actually built.
A different frame, propeller or motor setup can change how a quad behaves. This is why the flight data matters when moving from a printed AeroRing frame to a completed aircraft.
Analysis before changes
AeroTune7’s workflow includes filter checks and examination of the response recorded in the log. Follow the instructions in AeroTune7 for analysis and flight-controller writes. Review the tool’s instructions and results at each stage; a tuning tool does not replace correct assembly and flight-controller setup.
Explore the software
Open AeroTune7 in your browser to analyse your Betaflight Blackbox logs and work through the tuning workflow.
The demonstration video shows the auto-tuning software in action. It is a useful introduction to the workflow before you start analysing your own flights.
